I don't know is people have a problem with Golovkin as much as they do with the machine trying to ram him down our throats.
Firstly he's not P4P number 1,2 or 3 he hasn't fought anyone and has yet to move up in weight.
He's 34 with the poorest resume a P4P entrant has ever had, he ignores skilled boxers much as he has with Lara and Ward.
He is an overacted puncher and this is a fact. People genuinely expected Floyd to move up two weight classes to fight him but defend his right to not move up and fight no one of note.
People said Cotto was ducking him despite the fact Cotto was fighting in his 4th weight class Glolovkin in his first.
When your best win is Martin Murray who a shot George Groves beat up and A welterweight you have a seriously poor resume, no problem with people calling it out
Black people called out Broner on his choice of opponent and he moved up

GGG was going to fight Eubank but when Eubank Sr stalled negotiations Brook was a last minute replacement so they didn't lose the date slot.
Brook wanted to fight GGG. GGG didn't pursue Brook. GGG just want's to unify all the middleweight belts, that's why he called out BJS after the fight.
As for race, I just loving boxing. Broner is a **** and you can see this regardless of your skin tone.

I do think lots of Black folk dislike when a non-black guy is getting a lot of hype and some are considering them the best.
Boxing is a sport that Black people used to excel at but now there's plenty of fighters from other races who are coming in and becoming top fighters. Maybe that aggravates them a bit because they no longer feel it's something they can see as their own dominance.
I really dislike bringing racial issues into sport but it would be naive to think they don't exist. They're very much alive on this very forum and for whatever reason, some Black people don't like the fact GGG is being regarded as the best in the sport by some.Last edited by deathofaclown; 09-12-2016, 07:14 AM.

Is it something about his appearance?
When they see Golovkin they are confused, they see a man, but their inbuilt attraction still stands, they still get aroused and are confused and angry therefore their hatred is focused on GGG in a self hating **** ****** type way.
I am a qualified Psychiatrist btw.

... The same Froch who was quoted by HBO (back in July 2014) as saying: "Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don’t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight.", right?

A lot of white males seem to be emboldened with the rise of Donald Trump and all of these Eastern European "white" boxers doing well, and they think it gives them a license to be a bigot.
