Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn Reveals That HBO is Now Interested in Kell Brook
IBF/IBO/WBC/WBA middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) thanked Kell Brook (36-1, 25KOs) for indulging his desire for a crazy street fight at London's O2 Arena.
As they should. Brook showed tremendous courage and skill. After getting hurt in the 1st round, he elected to bite down on his mouth piece and stood his ground. Threw beautiful combinations and for a very long time made GGG look ordinary, something Middleweights failed to do.
Brook went in their to win not like other actual middleweights who go in against GGG to survive. I would love to see Brook vs Canelo. That would be an outstanding fight.
Wow they left out the part where Nelson asked if they'd be interested in Canelo and Eddie replied "Hell yes". Brook/Cotto would be another great fight, though Cotto turned him down once before. If they tell Cotto that Brook has a broken orbital like Toney, he may change his mind.
I don't know how long Brook will be out, but I'm guessing he won't be ready for Canelo until his May fight. If Jessie Vargas beat Manny, that'll be another Canelo fight for next year.
Canelo will not be fighting at 154 in a years time
Brook isnt going to get back into the ring for another 6-9 months, possibly a year an no way will he jump in the ring with Canelo for his comeback fight, that would be suicide
I have no doubt in my mind Canelo will move up as will GG within the next 15 months
Brook will probably retire, just have this feeling
