Brook hurt him badly in the first round. His legs even turned into jelly. And for the rest of the fight, he had big problems with Brook because of his horrible defense. Brook is a blown-up welterweight who just barely got past Porter the caveman. Golovkin should have destroyed him, according to the hype.

In another obvious mismatch the best middleweight easily beat the 3rd or 4th best welterweight. That's what's supposed to happen. The real question is where does he go from here. After insisting upon 164 for Ward, that ship has sailed. He's not willing to go to 155 for Canelo so that's not happening. He said Saunders, so that's probably the fight. Another mismatch, but the options are limited. I wonder exactly how much money would it take to get team g string to risk that "0" and challenge themselves.
