I knew that fight wasn't going the distance. Brook looked like he won the 2nd, and the 3rd and the 4th looked even-ish from what I remember or maybe it was the 3rd.
You could judges seeing it a certain way. Golovkin was a bit wild at times but he was just trying to beat Kell up in there and largely succeeding.
I'd like to see those cards. Sounds like everyone agrees Brook took the second and third (where Golovkin may have been stunned), but I can't see Brook getting the 4th. I guess I could see them giving Brook the 1st, after he nearly got knocked down he did come back strong.
I had it 3-1 to Brook with the sound and comentary on. Watching the fight muted in had it 3-1 to GGG. People made a big deal about the uppercuts that Brook threw. Rewatch the fight without sound only one of them got off with out being answered with a left from Golovkin. Most of Brooks combos were to the arms or gloves of Golovkin and a lot of the time that Brook leaned back to get out of the way of a punch he still got tagged. Golovkin outlanded Brook in every round. But Brook looked better in the 2nd.

brook got dropped in the third. that's worth more than maybe stunning your opponent. its actually worth a point but the ref is blind. it wasn't a big looking punch therefore it doesn't count if you fall down? new boxing rules I can't keep up
3-1 brook is incomprehensible, cause 2 of the rounds he got battered in, 1 I thought he lost pretty clearly despite the crowd cheering everytime he hit GGG's gloves, and then brook clearly won round 2. Think eddie hearn had put some money in the judges back pockets for sure.
