Comments Thread For: Brook: I'm Most Suited For 154, I Want The Canelo-Smith Winner!

LONDON -- Jumping two weight classes to challenge Gennady Golovkin, Kell Brook's ambitious challenge wasn't give much hope. Despite that leap, a valiant Brook made it far tougher for the world middleweight champion than anticipated as they traded punches for four rounds in a thrilling, open contest Saturday night in London.

Sorry Kell, but there's along line waiting for Canelo! Now if Smith wins, maybe you get your shot. If he doesn't then you might want Lara, Andrade, or Cotto first!

I think brook would of eventually been broken down and stopped. Ggg wasnt respecting brooks power even though brook was catching ggg and stunned him once or twice. Brook and canelo is a better matchup but think he is in a lose lose situation where he gets beat at ww by spence and canelo beats him too at sw weight

That means Kell vacates the 147 IBF and Spence will become the champ.

Kind of disappointing how that fight went down. I don't think Brook would have won, but with a good eye he would have probably been game for at least 9 rounds. This was a very competitive fight, he definitely earned even more respect from me than he already did for taking the match. He certainly didn't come to lay down for a payday.

He might as well get that fight. He gave a good account of himself thanks to triple G trying to KO him in an unorganized manner.

                Brook is a marketed fighter

Brook wasn't coming on.. he was going out! GGG could have systematically broken him down. But he chose to go for broke... This said, this version of Brook could prabably beat Canelo.

Brook was looking good in the early rounds with the combos, but you're right, as the fight went on the damage was catching up to him.

Canelo will dodge this fight by over pricing himself as the "A" side.
