This would be a good fight if Jacobs even had a reasonable chin. But he doesn't.

I'll watch the fight ofc, but I'll be looking forward more to Golovkin-Saunders for the undisputed championship, so Golovkin can consider options at 154 or 168 after

I don't see how Jacobs is any less of a name than Saunders or Eubank here in the States. If they are willing to broadcast the other two, whose purse demands would be similar to Jacobs anyway, put the fight at Barclays, it will sellout and be a huge event in NY.

GGG vs. Jacobs will be a very hot ticket in Brooklyn! Haymon will come up with a good undercard to support the PPV (if necessary)! Only question will be if this would be a HBO PPV or a Showtime PPV? I would much rather a fight on CBS like Thurman vs. Porter! That would be at least 5 million viewers EASY!!!

On paper this is a good fight. Jacobs has the power and speed to bother GGG. Bet we see Jacobs go after GGG like he did Quillen then eats a jab and tries to fight off the back foot. And if GGG wins Jacobs will be called a bum...

Don't think it's gonna happen, Jacobs will price himself out, and I think he'd be right in asking for a lot of money, for his retirement fund after being ko'd cold.

This is the best fight at middleweight. Jacobs is pound for pound level in terms of speed, power, and athleticism, and GGG can get hit. His defense will be much better vs a dangerous puncher, and can actually be elite defense in terms of plus/minus, but since he's so aggressive, he will get hit by clean shots and clean combos from time to time. Jacobs can hurt anyone with the right punch or the right one-two combo.

The most challenging fights for GGG right now are Ramirez, Jacobs/Degale/Canelo (can't separate them really without seeing it), and Eubank jr, in that order, because those guys all have athleticism and power, like Brook had, much more than someone like Saunders who GGG would just walk through. I hope we see one of those fights before GGG gets any older because I do worry no one good will fight him until he's truly passed his prime, then his speed will go and he won't be able to connect with the power early in the fight, then his stamina will go and he will gas, and then he will get lit up and lose, and all the haters will come out saying "see I knew he ******. I had to wait a decade to prove it, but I knew it! The first time he fought the elite level, he lost." Well yeah if no one elite would step up to fight him until he was clearly passed it, then it's obviously quite possible for him to lose that first fight.

That's why I think Loeffler would have been smart to get that legacy fight when he was 32 or younger, whatever the money, and just shut those doubters up. Let GGG prove that in his prime, he was elite, and then if he does end up losing when he's 36, 37, 38, people will at least know the truth that he aged like every other offensive fighter does in his 30s.

But those are the fights I want. Ramirez is extremely dangerous, they better do that before GGG gets old even if he wins the fight, he will be old by the time it's over. Degale is a versatile much bigger guy. Jacobs two huge punchers, speed and power vs less speed and insane power. Canelo extremely snappy powerful punches and a good chin. Those are the fights to make. Saunders would be good for like the Monte Carlo fight. That's the kind of fight that is, Martin Murray part 2. The other fights are real, dangerous matches against athletic guys. None are actually "dangerous" so long as GGG is in his prime, he would sweep every round in his prime, but at 34 almost 35, we don't know that's the case, so they should make those asap.

HBO has said no such thing. Lance Pugmire said he heard from someone who heard from someone that HBO wont spend the money. That "story" has not been confirmed by anyone else yet.
