HBO was at a new low today...

I didn't see the HBO version of the fight man, so maybe it was as bad as you guys claim, but I have also heard some infuriating commentary during PBC fights. Most notably during Danny Garcia fights.U know I can understand bias commentating it happens for the "house" fighter but HBO was PATHETIC! PBCs commentating on spike Friday was pro Easter but Commey got a ton of props and they left the scoring to the judges. That was a close fight i thought Commey edged it and he gained a fan in me but it was really close. Cuadras vs Gonzalez was close but there was a clear winner and that winner lost.
I thought it was a close fight, but I had Gonzalez wining. I know commentary can sometime be infuriating to listen to, but generally if the network has a made a large investment in a fighter the commentary will be very biased, just how things are.Comment

Maybe I need to watch the fight again. In the RbR, I thought people were giving a little too much credit to Cuadras... it's common that when a guy like Gonzalez who usually steamrolls everyone faces a game opponent, everyone hangs on that game opponents every punch (Mayweather-Cotto).
I though Cuadras was great, but he was missing a lot of punches too (his flashy four punch combos were almost always air or gloves), and basically felt the story of the fight was Cuadras had the better and stronger punches, but Gonzalez was just landing way more in my eyes. The second half of the fight Cuadras put a beating on Gonzalez, but he had lost 4 of the opening six rounds and Gonzalez still had a lot of good rounds in the second half.
I didnt have the commentary on, but didn't disagree too much with Lederman's card. He gave the last two both to Cuadras is I remember correctly, which I def agreed with, and he scored the opening 4 right as well... cant recall the rest.Comment

Not sure I can do that, I don't keep count dude, and it's not worth the effort to recollect. But like I said depending on the fighters fighting they can be just as biased, I remember them ****riding the **** out of Garcia, a fighter that they have invested a lot in.Comment

You can't do it because it doesn't happen to the extent that HBo does it. Give me 1 garcia fight they did it in
Yeah everyone has their house fighters that they favour. I watched Frampton/Cruz on a UK stream and they were favouring Frampton but at least they admitted that it was close and gave a honest account of the fight
HBO throws reason out the window and makes a great close fight seem like a 1 sided drubbingComment

To be fair Cuadras's own corner after the 7th or the 8th asked him why he was running so much. After that he settled down and started to win some rounds. Good fight that Roman edged.Comment
