Just got around to watching the fight. Didn't do a round by round scoring, but I probably will another time because it was a great fight. I definitely respected the effort from both and want to see both of them again.

All that being said - seemed very close to me. Lederman was bugging out during the first half.

On a side note - we probably won't be seeing RG fight anywhere above this weight. Doubt he'd be able to carry enough power and stamina to the next weight class to be seriously competitive.

        Yeah definitely maxed out.

        118 would look ridiculous.

Jamie Mcdonnel, 5'10" with 72" reach
Zolani Tete 5'9" with 72" reach

Roman Gonzalez 5'3" with 64" reach

His weight climbing days are surely done, unless its an extreme cherry pick.

Tbh i think we are moving into the last part of his career now. Hopefully he can cap it off with a fight against Inuoe, and a rematch versus Cuadras and/or Estrada.

GIF: Roman ' Chocolatito ' Gonzalez vs. Carlos Cuadras - Round 7

Peep the technique -- blocks, rolls then ducks following with counters with combos up and down stairs ; I been reading these hater talking about hes a head first brawler?

I think a lot of people saying Cuadras won were too impressed by flurries like that and didn't notice they were missing or ineffective. This right here happened a lot in this fight, where Cuadras would throw a lot, usually shoeshining to the body, and then get caught flush and clean by Gonzalez.

Agreed. I also like to point out that it could be difficult to tell what lands clean when you are watching it live considering the speed of the lowerweights is greater than the heavier divisions also these casuals never trained a day in their lives so I doubt they really understand the technique of rolling, picking off shots that are not going to count as clean punches. Here is a great example about what you said in the eighth round you have a sequence where Cuadras lets out 7 punches on RG and miss all because of defense ( that also the casuals never really give credit too.) -- Im just baffled how casual this forum is but most of it is just jealousy ; these guys want Ward or Kovalev to take the throne bottom line I dont care at this point really Im satisfied with the work RG has put in the game and cant no one say there is a more skilled fighter period : 46-0 no knockdowns in his whole professional career not even Ward or Kovalev can say that when someone gives him a good test ( moving up in weight) the haters consider it a fail. Laughing at these clowns for real.

Man...judges were looking for something...Caudras is putting on a CLINIC...a textbook on fighting an aggressive boxer. Not running, he's moving, catching Chocolatito coming in with counters and combinations. Ducking, blocking, avoiding punches. Chocolatito's face is busted up, bruised...I got Caudras winning this fight 8-4.
