Cuadras just wasn't busy enough. Roman was hitting him too easily with all these quick shots. The power wasn't there but he was outscoring Cuadras and outworking him most rounds. Chasing him, coming forward, outthrowing him, outlanding him. Only advantage for Cuadras was the size and power but he didn't land enough to outscore Gonzalez, and since he never dropped Gonzalez either, it was hard to score the fight for him.
They're talking about Inoue vs Gonzalez, I'd rather see Inoue vs Rigondeaux. I think Inoue is too big and powerful for Gonzalez. Great fight though but Gonzalez is a nice guy... maybe rematch Estrada at 112, Inoue fights Rigo at 118 or something. Either that or Gonzalez needs to add some muscle before Inoue to have that be a more even fight.

What a Great Fight but it was not a fight of the year Like the Salido Vargas fight but I had Cuadras winning the fight but a draw would have been okay...Romans face was messed up and Cuadras did not look like he had been in a 12 rd fight but I would like to see 15 round fights once again like when I was a young boy because I knew somebody was gonna quit or get knocked the f out..after the 12 round that is when the plot would thicken....I am glad HBO is bringing in the lower weight classes to the spotlight because those men at the lower weight classes don't mess around....I remember when Don King introduced us to Ricardo Lopez.....Again Good Deal HBO introducing the lower weight classes and cant wait for Kovalev vs Ward..that should be a Dandy

And in all reality I really didnt know to much about Cuadras before this fight except what I seen on yutube, I was just kinda going for the underdog but my heart wasnt into it until the bias announcing and punch stats were read after each rd.
Jose Luis Ramirez was robbed vs Alexis Arguello.
Juan Manuel Marquez vs Pacquiao III, Chris John and Norwood.
Orlando Salido vs Rocky Martinez II.
Oscar de la Hoya vs Tito Trinidad.
Wilfredo Benitez vs Carlos Palomino.
And a large list more...
Cuadras won 115-113 but the thing it would have been different if the guy was black, like Kevin Johnson of some **** like that.
It's about power in the media... Gonzalez is the kid promoted for HBO.
Cuadras, well, he is unknown here in Mexico.

Roman has a poor defense, really, very poor. Cuadras was his best rival and he end the fight with his face misshapen.

Cuadras just didn't do enough. He gave roman his toughest fight. Beat him up good. But he didn't win enough rounds. Should've worked his jab more. I can't make a case for him winning even though I bet on him. Now Commey a whole different story.

I'm watching the replay at work on my tab, and the first couple of rounds I watched, Caudras is giving Chocolatito a boxing lesson...Chocolatito is anxious, coming forward, but Caudras is relaxed and out boxing him. Maybe something changed later on?

GIFS: Roman ' Chocolatito ' Gonzalez vs. Carlos Cuadras
Who does this?...Slip,Roll,Block,Duck,Counter without missing a beat at such a high workrate? I mean hes not standing there like GGG letting people take shots on him protect yourself at all times is the basic principle in boxing.
