According to the punch count GGG landed far more punches in every single round. GGG landed 130 punches to 80 punches landed for Brook. GGG landed twice as many jabs and was about to knock Brook out when Brook's corner wisely threw in the towel. Somebody got schooled alright. His name is Kell Brook. Brook weighed half a pound more and he was very lean so where exactly is the size difference?????? GGG won because he is a better fighter not because of any size difference. Brook is a pretty big man and he will never return to welterweight. He will either stay at 160 or squeeze down to 154. Don't use his small size as an excuse because he isn't that small. Brook fought well and put up a good fight but his own corner stopped the fight to save him from a certain knock out.

Once ggg knew Kell could outbox him he just swung for the fences and started bullying him. Which was basically his last resort.

Before that he was getting outboxed, thoroughly.

Actually it was more like once GGG knew Brook couldn't hurt him...he just walked forward looking to break his face. If the fight had not been stopped Brook's career probably would have ended. He got his orbital bone broken...it still remains to be see if he will ever be the same...many fighters don't recover very well from that injury.

Bottom line is Brook made a good showing but the fight went exactly as predicted. When GGG had enough he put Brook away. His corner had the compassion to protect their fight so he could fight another day. Period. End of story.
