I do think it is a bit churlish to suggest that Golovkin wasn't on his game because Kell wasn't a threat. It might just as well be that Kell got him with some pretty good shots and that was like a red rag to a bull and that was when GGG started swinging for the cheap seats.

Kell looked small but he a world class operator. He was always going to have some decent success and GGG was always gonna get him out of there.

Every time I watch Golovkin take unnecessary punches I hear some variation of the same thing, oh he was just baiting the other guy, oh he was just disregarding the other guys power or some other BS.

Dude has leaky defense and his quality offense is what papers over his bad defense, he is by no means a complete fighter just a very good offensive one good enough offensively to cover up his flaw with a good enough chin. I can already tell you how Golovkin is going to go out he will either run into a big puncher or he will run into a guy that take what he gives him leaving him with nothing. Brook did not have the attributes to pull off either.

Golovkin wasn't schooled because the fight was essentially on his terms, Brook needed to suck the action out of the fight not fight in a high contact manner. He has flaws though which have been seen in this fight and others. So if he keeps being sloppy and reckless his time will come sooner rather than later.
