I think anybody who has Brook winning should watch Matthew Macklin's assessment of the fight. It's pretty sobering i reckon.
He says he plays through all the scenarios of how Brook can win but basically he just keeps coming back to the fact he knows how hard Golovkin hits and Brook is used to taking shots off Welterweights. He reckons Golovkin's jab is probably harder than the right hands Brook is used to feeling.
If that's true, then whatever plan Brook has is probably going to go out the window when he feels even just a hard jab.
It's a fairly obvious assessment, but it's obvious because it's the truth and likely to be the story of the fight really.
I really hope Brook can do it or he can make a great fight for the fans and sometimes i get caught up in the hype watching the build up but then also like Macklin, you just see how easily he could hurt tough strong Middleweights like Murray and wonder how Brook can take that power. I'd say p4p Brook is a better fighter than the likes of Murray of course, but that's a different matter in this situation.Last edited by deathofaclown; 09-10-2016, 11:07 AM.Comment

Yeah, one jab and expect Brook to throw every game plan out of the window in order to survive tbh. I come fully optimistic, and am actually thinking Brook's defense is good enough to survive 4 rounds. Regardless, I'll enjoy the show-- Brook looks really amped. So I think it'll be fun until the inevitable happens.I think anybody who has Brook winning should watch Matthew Macklin's assessment of the fight. It's pretty sobering i reckon.
