If golovkin demolishes brook how good a win is it?

The cards are stacked against brook having gone up two weights, but he looks in great shape and appears to be managing the weight well. Golovkin is a strong favourite, as he should be. However, brook is still a 36-0 fighter with, in my opinion, world class skills. If golovkin goes in there and its very one sided, does it significantly strengthen his cv or should it just be greeted with a shrug of the shoulders? Please discuss...

It's not bro. This is a joke fight. If he struggles at all with brook and doesn't get him out before 6 he is going to be fairly criticized.

Golovkin didn't ask for this fight. Hearn chose to make it as it is.

Right now, it doesn't look like too special of a win. But if Brook goes on to beat some other guys at WW and JMW, then it could look alot better in retrospect. If Brook drops back down to WW for Spence and Khan, then goes up to JMW for J-Rock/Charlo for the title, and wins all that, it would add some significance.

It's a great win against a "name," you know, the type of wins a non-star like GGG needs to fight another even bigger "name," like Canelo. If he needs a "name" to fight a "name," how is beating the first "name," not a big win?

Brook is a massive underdog for a reason.

Golovkin is expected to win convincingly. The only story is if he doesn't.
