If Brook beats Golovkin - On par with SRL vs Hagler / Turpin vs SRR?

If Brook somehow pulls off the upset this saturday, how big would the win be? I want everyone to go on record before the right just in case.

We saw what happened with Fury after beating Klitschko. The very same people who said he didn't have a snowballs chance in hell, said Klitschko was old and done after the fight.

So how legendary would this be?

It would be the greatest win in the history of boxing. Moving up 2 divisions to beat the most feared man on the planet. **** yea.

If Golovkin had a resume like either of those guys, we could talk. But, he's never been in with anyone memorable so any loss he would have at this point isn't all that heavy.

I wouldn't be shocked if Brook won, but I'm not expecting him to.

I wouldn't be shocked either...ggg's 34, anything can happen at that age, and he's fighting a guy who can move a bit. If ggg does lose, i expect he'll be a noticeably diminished fighter during the fight.

I guess we have to know how he wins to know how much of an uproar Golovkin fans will cause , decision, they'll claim robbery . If it's a KO it would be Rousey Holmesesque on social media.

Itd be a really good win. Legendary? No. Golovkin is still an open book. He's not a great fighter no matter how much the hype might suggest. He's a highly skilled fighter with a mediocre resume. So it's wouldn't be up there with those legendary wins.

                  Good lord lol

It would be a good win.. But it would also mean gg is way overrated. He's no hagler and brook is no srl

I mean gg still isn't a top 25 fighter from the past 25 years. So no way it can be compared to srl hagler

Impossible how it'll look a couple years from now, based on what Golovkin goes on to do after this. But, today, I'll call it a great win for Brook if he cleanly and clearly beats Golovkin.

I used to think highly of Brook but that took a nosedive over the last two years. I'd really like to see him shine this weekend.
