and you really think those are his fans? dude has always had a lot of haters, you could see that since the lara days, it was the same until he signed the fight, and it will be the same even after he fights and beats ggg, they will find a new boogieman and the hate will be there again, this isnt exclusive for boxing in social media, a ton of celebrities are on the same situation...

How can we be sure if they are his true fans? What we can be sure is that his haters just quadrupled because of how the GGG situation played out. He may have gotten some hate for jumping ship to TV Azteca but I dont understand how you can compare the hate he is getting now for ducking GGG. Lol, keep thinking that buddy, a clear duck against one of the best talents in around his division will have its repercussions. the fact that he is a "bigger star" has very little to do with that.

From what I hear Mexicans don't like Canelo. They think he's an overrated hype job. Just what I hear from everyday Mexicans that really are only casuals if that. He isn't revered by any means.

calm down boy, im not insulting you, most ggg fans have been parroting that, and i aknowledge canelo did wrong that night, but wont change dramatically his star power, the haters are going to hate him more, that is true, but like i said thats not affecting him much, he is about to put 40k(pac-margo numbers) on a stadium with tickets at $40 or $50 the lowest, and thats against a noname fighter, the ppv will prob do 300k or so, but thats not bad for a meh fight, pac vs bradley did similar or less, and we know pac can make a mil vs the right opponent... believe me, canelo will be alright ...

at least you admit your god did something foolish. yes, haters are going to hate even more and some fans who were there for mayweather angulo and lara have turned him on, i know many. his diva antics have caused that. 300k is a little steep for an estimate. Pac and Margs were household names Smith is not. After running from GGG, i would be surprised at 150-200k ppvs.

I still believe Canelo is only a star by default because boxing needed it after DLH May Pac. He was chosen by default imo, he needs to do alot more, ducking GGG is not a good way to start.
