As an American I believe that to be a reasonable opinion. Granted I've never been to the UK so I can't honestly say the boxing IQ of the average sports fan in the UK, but it seems from afar like the fight fan IQ is on average higher there. You go on the street in the US & ask 100 sports fans about boxing & at best you'll find 2 or 3 guys who know of one or two guys Floyd or Manny beat & don't go beyond that level of the sport.
