every single person in their right mind new de la hoya would beat up on mayorga! but mayweather wont be able to keep de la hoya away from him, if he can take mayorgas best shots he can take mayweathers EASILY!

Oscar himself he said he pick Mayorga because he will motivate Oscar as well as he knew he could beat him becasue he has no boxing skills whats so ever!

wow... Oscar Larios was right on the money, he said something like "Oscar will win of course, in a spectacular and impressive TKO" roughly{]

i saw the fight ...and it just wasnt that tight to me ... delahoya put down in the first round and i was like wtf??? i couldnt believe it ... i must admit i didnt think he had enough power to drop him...and then he knocked him out ... that was ****ed up... i still like the trinidad vs mayorga fight better... but when you think about it ...trinidad destroyed vargas and then delahoya fought him,... trinidad destroyed mayorga ...then delahoya fought him... and of course delahoya looked good against someone with absolutely no defense whatsoever ... and no head head movement, no foot work , no nothing ...

even after this bull**** fight ,(that wasnt impressive at all) ... delahoya should say **** it and retire like that ...cause honestly he is not going to beat floyd ....floyd is way to ****in skilled and quick ..and in his prime ... now i aint sayin floyd would knock delahoya out or nothing like that but he would win on points ... i think shane mosley has the best chance against floyd mayweather , thats just my opinion ...

anyway , it was a weak fight to me ... wasnt impressed ...shocked but not impressed ... i wouldnt watch the fight again ...

Exactly. De La Hoya has speed and... wait for this... POWER! Something Mayweather hasn't shown a lot of as far as I'm concerned. If Mayweather v Del La Hoya happens, I say DLH by TKO in the latter rounds.

Also, I like how people are bagging on De La Hoya now that he's beaten Mayorga. Tito, a very technical and powerful puncher took two more rounds to dispatch Mayorga than DLH did. Now, yes, Tito did get schooled by Winky, but we all know Winky is a monster. Tito has no where near the skills of DLH so you can't make the comparison in that sense. If you all have a short term memory, DLH SCHOOLED TITO a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away and Tito was in his fecking prime for Christ sakes.

This is the real Golden Boy we saw tonight. A fighter, pure and simple with perfect boxing skills and pretty damn good brawling skills. I never lost faith in Oscar and had no doubts, when focused, he's possibly number one pound for pound today.
