they have no plans on fighting him until he looks beatable.

They already pushed the fight to a "maybe" in fall 2017... just skipped right over spring 2017 and didnt even bother to lie to us and say maybe then.

So the fight is at soonest more than a year out and hes already saying no split. what difference does it make, you can do it with or without a split and have the same outcomes. they havent even negotiated yet and dlh is just putting more crap out there about why they cant do the fight.

Does Dela ****/Team Canela know that flat fee offer doesn't work? Look at Pacquiao who declined a $30M flat fee offer from Floyd and ended up with $100M+ working with the split percentages.

Damn learning from Floyd's delaying tactics. **** a flat fee. GGG's name carries weight. Canelo-GGG would do massive numbers. Canelo vs anyone else would do decent numbers. Conclusion = GGG deserves a piece of the PPV split.

That's basically saying we don't want the fight right now. It would be ****** of GGG's team to take a flat fee for a fight of this magnitude because you can't say how much it will make.

Take a look Mayweather-Pacquiao. It exceeded expectations in terms of PPV buy. If pac accepted a flat fee he would have been robbed of millions.

This is such a joke. What's the biggest Canelo has done without Floyd & Cotto? From what I remember the Angulo PPV bombed and after Canelo's next joke of a PPV bombs, can he really claim A side?

It's laughable. And if GGG blasts out Brook viciously and then Jacobs(If he actually mans up), Canelo won't have a leg to stand on. I mean seriously who else is he going to fight? Saunders? LMFAO Oscar is a god damn fool. They need GGG as much as he needs them. Canelo is not a massive draw at all.

The only leverage GGG ever had was his number one contender status and Canelo took that away. GGG has 0 leverage on Canelo. O.
Now with that said GGG deserves respect and Golden Boy should off no less than $15 million to fight at 150 or $20 million to do it at a lower weight.
If they come with that type of offer and GGG declines then he can go kick rocks. Right now it would take 4+ fights to make that kind of money for GGG.

Well that's not very fair. He deserves a cut. Just because a flat fee might be GGG's biggest purse doesn't mean he should make a bad business deal.

Who else is Canelo going to fight? Canelo's stardom is EXTREMELY over-exaggerated. His PPV coming up will bomb hard. I'll be surprised if it even does 300k. Whats the biggest number he's done without Floyd or Cotto? Canelo is not that big of a draw. He needs GGG. This fight isn't even that big to nonboxing fans to begin with. It's a great fight that promises action. But lets be real if Canelo-GGG does 500-750k that'll be phenomenal.

Canelo can fight anyone and make big money because he and Golden Boy control the promotion. Not to mention the fact that any other fight wouldn't be as risky.
Leverage is all about who has options. GGG has no one he can fight to make more than he is making now. He is the B side to a WW who's biggest win is against Porter.
Canelo is only 25, he can fight anyone he wants and make more money than GGG will ever hope to make without a Canelo payday. Its why GGG and K2 changed their tune from "we don't care about Canelo or Cotto, we just want the belts." to now being desperate and thirsty for a Canelo payday. They know their time is running out.
And like you said yourself its not like Canelo/GGG is guaranteed to do a million plus PPV buys. It will probably just outdo Canelo/Cotto in the end. This fight only happens when GGG takes the offer made to them and not a second sooner.
