It's hard to say Leonard won the fight that night, but my standout memory is Ray putting the old shoe-shine on Hagler. Don't see enough of the shoe-shine these days, if at all. Leonard was just smarter, I guess. He knew how to catch the eye. Let's not forget that Sugar Ray had 3 years out prior to Hagler. No gayass tune-up.

Been saying since day 1 that Brook won't be smaller when it's all said and done and he is a legitimate challenge. How people try and spin that as a slight on Golovkin I will never understand, but these are two undefeated fighters, two champions, putting it all on the line!!!

This is what boxing is about!!
      Me too!

Who are you going to be rooting for on the night?

When GGG fought Murray I was on the fence, till I saw the girl with the Union Jack waiting to lead Murray down to the ring, then I started hoping he was going to win it. Pretty sure something similar will happen this time and I'll end up cheering Brook on.

Ray Leonard being that competitive in this fight was a legendary accomplishment regardless of the outcome. 3 year layoff, eye problems, fighting the lineal champion at a new weight and still making the fight that close.

I'm rooting for GGG but if Brook is in a position to stop him in an upset or even a close decision I might start pulling for Brook. Just have to see how it all plays out.

IMO Leonard didn't do enough to unseat the champ.

            Brook is no Leonard.

He may be comfortable coming in at 160 but he hasn't taken punches from a natural MW, let alone a vicious puncher like Golovkin. After Brook feels the first solid shot from Golovkin, we'll see how the rest of the fight unfolds.

Sugar Ray did not defeat Hagler.....Sugar Ray ran and held and danced his way to a robbery....If Brook does that and last 12 rounds...okay....but dont be too proud of Sugars strategy against Hagler ...Sugar was on survival mode ... Hey I dont blame him after Hitman dislodged Sugars eyeball...but then again it goes back to those brutal days when Hagler , Hearns , SugarRay and Duran were around
