IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) is ready to fight fire with fire with when he steps in the ring with IBF/WBC/WBA/IBO middleweight world champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs)

Brook is seriously delusional. Making a lot of bold statements and over-hyping himself. Brook does not have and will not have the power to hurt Golovkin period. Brook may jump in and out with a lot of lateral foot movement (Brook aint Pacquiao in terms of foot speed) to try and tag and disorient GGG with quick jabs. He will also try to time GGG's jab with overhand rights but that's about it. Brook with his bulk is not going to bulldoze GGG. That extra weight on him says to me that he will need that extra weight to absorb major punishment. Brook will not be able to move or dance for twelve rounds and he won't cause GGG wont let him. If anyone giving Brook a chance at all, they're way underestimating GGG's boxing skills. Brook will learn very quickly, aside from the power, GGG is no joke. If I were Brook, I'd keep that hatch shut and focus on the fight....and stop making bold statements to pump up that fragile confidence of his. Brook is way over his head. Brook should have fought Thurman, Spence or even take a tune up fight at 160, like against Lemieux or Curtis Stevens, if he really wanted to challenge GGG. If Brook does well, then GGG is next.

There is no real point in taking on Lemieux or Stevens since those would be seriously difficult fights for him and without the great payback. This a great fight for the British public in terms of raising his profile, huge cash, etc a win-win situation for him. Very few people expect him to win and frankly he just isn't winning this one - I just hope it isn't an embarrassment (sic Canelo Khan - that was just a countdown to lights out).

I brought Lemieux and Stevens up because those guys are big punchers. Brook says he's going to shock GGG...with what? He's not a bigger puncher than Lemieux or Stevens. Brook also likes to reference his jab. Yes, Brook's jab may work against a welterweight and can snap or even rock them. The question is can he handle GGG's jab. GGG's jab has been tested on strong, sturdy, and legit 160 lb fighters in real fights. If Brook is after that big payday....he's got it. Raising his profile? His profile wont be raised when he gets knocked out and will probably permanently damage him psychologically as a fighter.

Those special "vitamins" the Ingle fighters drink "accidently" must be affecting Brook mentally as well as physically . . . .

One more thing. As mentioned in my above comment, Brook likes to reference his jab. In a video I saw where Brook and Macklin talked about the fight he mentioned using his "ramrod" jab. Does Brook really think he can control GGG with his ramrod jab? And does he think GGG is that robotic that he's going to stand there like a statue and take Brook's jab and not throw anything back. Here's Brook's game plan in my opinion:

              1) Bulk up to absorb punches better (to the body I might add)
              2) Run and dance to avoid getting hit for as long as he can
              3) Use his jab to score points and hope the judges sway in his favor with the UK crowd

I believe Brook's goal is to one-up Khan for bragging rights that he can "last" against a big puncher like GGG.

I think Brook should just leave the tough guy talking at the door and let his skills do the talking. I understand fear very well and how it affects you. Once you experience one fear, threat of bigger fear can affect you less, but any REAL self defense course tells us that fear helps us, it sharpens our reflexes, gives us an ability to see situations as they are. Brook has an advantage in that he's been in the ring 36 times and has an ability you have fear, but also control it.

Brook will not make the final bell however. Why? Because this is a joke of a fight...this is just a fact. Douglas beat Tyson with 42 to 1 odds. Douglas was also already a HW, Douglas was already bigger, he showed Tyson zero respect, and no fear and boxed his ears off.

Either way, my respect for brooks heart, as I've said is to be admired, while GayLoveKin is simply trying to use brook as his coming out party in the uk and hope that with brooks name, and the very supportive nature of the uk fans, that he can sell more than 97k. Which is why over here, it's a joke, and hbo wouldn't take such a loss making this farce a ppv event.

On a side note, if GayLoveKin gets stung, hurt in anyway, or especially loses, I will be so glad to see his career over and we can watch the rest of the fighters out there willing to take risks

I agree. This fight is about promoting Kell Brook. The payday and exposure is a home run for him. Lemieux or Stevens wouldn't ever get him the press he's getting by stepping in with GGG. If he loses he still gets accolades for courage. If he wins than he is the new superstar in boxing. We'll all know soon enough after the bell in round one. Looking forward and anticipating a good fight. My hope is that Brook fares well and gives GGG some competition.

He's got to go for the KO because there's no way he we will be agile and mobile enough, to out box and move around the ring against Golovkin, for twelve rounds being that heavy and muscular. He has to score a KO and to score it as early as possible, before he becomes too fatigued and tires out from all the excessive movement and punching.
