We should compare the resumes of the two Sugars at 147lbs to Brooks at 147.

These two were already atg's by the time they moved up. Well, SRR moved up a few times during his 147 reign iirc, but by the time he had moved permanently he was one of the greatest WWs of all time.

Brook has beaten Porter... and Frankie Gavin

This is not the same situation.

There fighters who are much greater than Brook who have been vicously ko'd moving up to MW. Find Benny Paret vs Gene Fullmer, Hagler vs Hearns or Trinidad vs Hopkins for example

Yes, I think. Most agree brook hasn't the resume of either sugars.
But the saving grace is when brook did move up in class ie porter nobody exposed him. So the talent and ability is there. The potential is there

Time will tell if kell brook is as good as the names listed.

yeah they are in denial for sure. Theyve downplayed brook deliberately in order for golovkin to get no credit if he wins or to be embarrassed if he loses. Brook is a superb fighter and was ring number 1 welterweight, now people are making out hes useless. Its a shame because even if brook does win he wont get much credit on this site, 99 percent of comments will be about golovkin being a 'hype job' and being worse than they thought, rather than brook being better than they thought

Atleast Brook has the balls to step in the ring with GGG and let's not forget Brook is a dodged fighter in his division also.

If brook does beat GGG there is no way he will not get credit. Sure some bitter and spiteful people will say GGG is a hypejob , but still brook stepped up to plate when nobody would. So if GGG is a hypejob at least it was brook who exposed him as he had the talent and belief.
Nelo certainly didnthave brooks belief so brook has nothing to worry about
