Jacobs was calling for the fight with Golovkin for some time. According to Sanchez, Jacobs is no longer mentioning Golovkin in any manner.

Recently he changed his tune after being inactive for so long but he isn't lying when he said he called for GGG months ago. Even Abel agrees.

    interesting !

it appears that Golovkin will not take a dangerous fight unless he has to

if Jacobs has been calling him out for some time, then why did they fight Adama, Rubio, Monroe, Wade, Brook?

GGG knows Canelo will try to shaft him completely as a ruse to duck the fight, so he is posturing. He will likely get a bad deal anyway but at least this way he sets up negotiations so that he only has to take 5% less than is fair, rather than 20% less.

GGG is only concerned about getting WHAT IS FAIR with Canelo. The difference with Jacobs is he is already being offered more than fair money against GGG, twice his career payday even though his fight vs Quillin got terrible, terrible ratings on Showitme, but he won't take the fight.

      1. GGG is just concerned Canelo will lowball the **** out of him to duck the fight, but since Canelo wouldn't even negotiate with him, we don't even have any evidence to go on. We all know GGG will take that fight the moment it is offered with anything approaching fair terms.

      2. Jacobs has already been offered more than fair money, and has said GGG is so good, he won't take the fight for fair money, unlike GGG with Canelo. He wants "superstar" "megafight" money instead, even though he doesn't bring that kind of value.

See the difference now? The difference between overpricing yourself to duck a great fighter, which Jacobs is doing, and preempting negotiations to make sure an overrated fighter like Canelo doesn't lowball you as a way to duck you?

It's not that hard to understand but if you're biased as hell you will always twist your thoughts to try to find these false equivalencies. Please man, please. Stop trying so hard to deny the obvious truth, stop tripping all over yourself, and just admit GGG is the goods, and everyone keeps finding new ways to duck him. Did you miss the latest episode which is why GGG is fighting Brook in the first place? The Eubanks not agreeing to fight him after lengthy negotiatons? Just like GGG-Chavez jr was all negotiated and they found a way out? And GGG-Froch was all negotiated and Froch retired? Just like Canelo said he wouldn't **** around and Oscar said he'd call Tom Loeffler the next day to negotiate, and then that got delayed supposedly because of the trial? But instead of giving up and moving on like Oscar wanted Team GGG to do so he could use the trial as an excuse, Loeffler wasted another month until after the trial, holding out hope to make the fight, and Oscar said they would negotiate after, but then when that time came, Canelo dropped the belt instead? And now Danny Jacobs less than a year ago I believe saying he'd be ready for GGG in "2 or 3 years," but now that he's taking heat, he decided to "call out" GGG two days after he signed to fight Brook, but since that was the weakest call out in history where Jacobs demanded crazy money, now he's saying he might be ready nowish, except for all the subtle statements about "building his brand" first and "if not this year" and "in the future" and "superstar PPV megafight" money and even if got offered twice his career payday, he may as well just "fight two Quillin's" instead because GGG is so damn scary to all these guys, Danny Jacobs feel less threatened by two Quillin's and two training camps worth of expenses than one GGG for the same money and only one training camp of expense?

Just stop lying to yourself man for real. None of these guys want to fight GGG either because GGG is so damn good, or they're not very good, or they think GGG is really good, whether he is or not. Whatever you want to say the cause is, they are afraid of him and only want to fight him if they get a retirement-level payday, because that's what they think will happen, that he will retire them, or put an end to the high-earning days of their career.

People used to say every welterweight was dying to win the Floyd lottery to get that big payday. Guess how much that often was? 1.5 mil, 2 mil, unless it was a Canelo or Pacquiao type guy. And that was called a "lottery" payment. Now Jacobs is getting offered at least 3 mil to fight GGG, and that's not enough? Come on you are a student of the game so you know what it is man. Stop lying to yourself.

Excellent, precise point brother-- You nailed it!

Loeffler will say that Mora " priced himself out ".

They already had a chance to fight Mora, and they - unbelievably - passed.

What does this have to do with Jacobs saying 2 months ago that he would fight GGG in a year and a half, and now saying he was calling GGG out? I never said anything about money

I'm not so sure Jacobs can call them 'call outs', if the initial call out he refers to states that he wants the fight in 18 months time, when he has built up the fight with some wins. More like future plans than a call out.

The fact he's been mandated should speed things along now and one way or the other we will see what happens.

Not the biggest fight I'd prefer to see GGG in. But seeing as how BJS isn't going to man up anytime soon, might as well.

By call out, does he mean he called out Golovkin's name when he woke up after a nightmare where he was forced to fight GGG?
