How come you guys say all briggs do is beat up bums but when he ask for a more challenging fight you guys say he doesn't deserve it? I'm not getting the rational... Its obvious he isn't a bum because he is destroying them... in my books thats enough to at least get a shot. if he loses then we know where he stands.

Briggs is shot and retired, he is doing exhibitions out there, he can't compete with Haye anymore and is only looking for paydays. He can entertain though.

Haye has nothing better on his plate it seems, all options are looking elsewhere or tied up to other fights already. At least Briggs is high ranked in the WBA, has name recognition, and the fight can be and eliminator for a belt. So, Haye should better roll with it.

Briggs always demands big paydays and that may be the real reason the fight is stalling. He was offered 500k or more to face Wilder for the Wbc belt and refused. Haye also has high financial demands to step in the ring. The money may not be there for this matchup.

Haye has a title fight lined up - he has zero reason other than standing by his word, to fight Briggs.

And someone's "word" doesn't count for anything in boxing. Nor does earning a shot - as the WBA are giving him an easy ride to a title shot.

Absolute craziness. If there is any truth to the report that Briggs was looking for 2mil to fight Wilder, then he's a fkn idiot, and deserves to be chasing nobodies and getting the run around for the rest of his career.

Briggs is a shot to bits sideshow, he should be thankful he even had enough of a name to be offered a title shot and half a mil.
