Comments Thread For: Shannon Briggs To Haye: What's Your Excuse Now? You're Soft!

Haye has clearly agreed to fight for the WBA title (which he'll win) in early 2017 and won't take any risks before then. For once in his life he should stick to his ****ing word and fight Briggs.

Fuck Briggs, he knows he's finished and just wants a pay day which is why he's fighting bums. Fuck Haye too if he avoids this fight for anything other than a top 10 opponent.

But he's already fought his obligatory bum. Surely he's "tuned up" enough if Briggs isn't a challenge for him?

It would be a real b!tch move if Haye doesn't fight Briggs this fall like he said he would. He got Briggs to agree to fight on his card, and bring in a few more viewers, with the understanding that he would fight Briggs afterward. He needs to be a man and honor his word, instead of looking like a coward.

If he fights a bonafide top 10 instead i don't know how he would look like a coward. Haye-Briggs is a joke fight, Briggs is finished he knows it himself, anyone that would rather watch that than Haye fight a top 10 heavyweight isn't a boxing fan. Briggs should be happy with the publicity he got for fighting a nobody.

Haye tells Briggs to get a brain scan, done. Tells him to first fight on his undercard, done. Unless Haye is fighting for a title I don't get why Haye is holding off. I think Haye will KO him inside 5 rounds and get a better pay day than fighting most top 10 contenders. Shannon has hyped himself enough to draw a crowd.
