Real boxing fan usually doesn`t pay much attention to the ever changing rules of alphabet organizations. There once was such a rule regarding Champion vs Interim purse offer split (in 2009). You can still find it somewhere in google, but it is not anymore applicable.
When you recognize this fact, then you would be able to understand the promotional logic behind Team GGG when they first told that they wouldn`t agree to make mandatory bout for Canelo at any less than 160 pounds, but if Alvarez relinquishes his belt first, then they are open to discuss any weight which would be comfortable for Canelo, including 155.
In short, what they mean is that, if its 70-30 than it should be at 160, if its 55-45 than it could be at 155. Being mandatory you can not ask for more than 30%, but you can force to have it at 160. There were few interviews from Team GGG regarding their willingness to compromise on weight, in case if Canelo relinquishes title first.

I wouldn't even respond that troll. Pancho tried to pull a fast one. The rules and regulations are there for anyone to see. But I guess every major journalist and the WBC themselves have it wrong.

Pancho just has a hard time understanding the rules. He went from 85-15 split to 70-30 split. I try to school those who might not understand the rules but I can't help everyone.

Maybe you should follow your own advice and see the current rules and regulations of WBC at their site. Then we can talk, young padavan.
