Alvarez was the short money, to Floyd and Cotto; on every other fight, Alvarez hasn't taken less than (once the structure gets seen through) 85% of the take, and I don't see why that'd change now, especially with Golovkin being in the situation that he is (K2 being unwilling to put up the money for the final middleweight belt, and K2 being a bad discussion with Lou DiBella (dBE) away from being forced to drop one of Golovkin's precious belts).

Golovkin brings no money to the table, and isn't being asked to actually sacrifice anything, yet he's supposed to get near parity on the money? gtfoh.
if its a mw fight, you have to treat 3g as if hes a big part of the fight (shocking i know). as its said, alvy is making a ton of money off of this smith guy. wtf. are we to assume 3g fits that group ?!?!?!

i hope greed doesnt get in the way of a fight that has to happen.

85/15 for a uni fight........yeps. that makes sense.

obviously, even GGG is not optimistic the fight will happen by 2017, they'll just reset their negotiation

He's talking about 50/50 odds, not money split.

yeah dougie fischer watched and wrote up the 6 round spar, sounded pretty one sided and he said golovkin also wobbled canelo, and obviously this is with headguards on too. Even without this, if canelo had the better of him or was competitive in sparring, he would be desperate to go in the ring and show people that he was better.

He was discussing the money. He said Canelo is going to lowball him with something like $2 million dollars and he's going to turn it down and then Canelo is going to say he doesn't want the fight because he won't accept the lowball offer.

“The next step is for Canelo to say, ‘I’m ready. I’m size A, [Golovkin] is size B, and I’ll give him $2 million,’” Golovkin predicted. “Then, [Alvarez] can say, ‘What? He won’t take that? He’s not ready? I’m ready.’

              “It’s a 50-50 fight, but that’s what he’s going to do. It’s a game to him.”

So he hurt a 20 year old 150 lber in sparring (Canelo was fighting for. 154 lb title at 150 if I'm not mistaken)

Not that big of a deal to brag about

Kinda like when Canelo beats GGG at age 40

And it seemed like after the Cotto-Canelo fight, I couldnt find that video anymore. Im pretty sure it was at Wild Card. I didnt save a link. Believe me if you want to or not, but Ive seen the footage. I wouldn't just make this up. I really have no reason to. Canelo already gave GGG the belt. There was footage of that sparring session at Wild Card Gym.

Think about it for a minute. Think about the link you sent, which seems to be the closest thing to the video available now. Why would they take that one pic of them together and not video it? Why just one pic and no video? There was video, believe me. It's like somebody paid to have it taken down. Im not a BS type dude. I saw the video. I didn't see GGG hurt Canelo, but as that still shot shows, Golovkin was the better fighter in the footage I saw.
All the sparring between GGG and alvarez took place in bigbear. They sparred a couple of days. One of the days was leaked where they were going easy. I think its the day he was up there reporting. Sanchez usually records all sparring, so fighters can go over their mistakes and such. One of the days GGG did put it on Alvarez a bit harder then backed off after Alvarez trainers had a word with Sanchez.

I believe that such video exists, but never escaped from The Summit.
At the moment when GGG-Chavez video first surfaced, a guy who did that was telling that he is going to upload Canelo and Quillin videos also. Never happened though.

I'm just curious what would happen if GGG said "Fuck it. 2 million is good."
