I hope he does retire, hes given enough to the sport, hes 43 and he can retire on a high note. Nobody has ever embarrassed him, I dont want to see him come in washed up at like 45 and get ethered by crawford or something like that. Theres enough guys that dont know when to quit.
Floyd Mayweather would disagree, and no weight had nothing to do with it.

Good for Marquez, he was a great champion. Wouldn't mind seeing him end his career with with one more match against an easy opponent like Floyd did, but if this is really it for him, thanks for the memories. He doesn't need to take a beating against younger, but less talented opposition.

His rivalry with Pacquiao is my favorite, even more than Ali-Frazier.

It would probably be a good thing. He's been out a while now.

Honestly good. I wish he'd have retired after the Manny KO. That woulda been a picture perfect way to go out. Regardless I don't see the point of him continuing these days unless he just needs the money &/or wants to get hit in the head & lose some brain cells a few more times.

Flaccid floyd embarassed himself more by even taking this fight. Any real boxing fan that doesn't have floyd's 4 incher in their mouth knows this

Jmm lives in california because someone tried to rob his home in mexico, plus i think his show espn deportes is filmed in dowtown la.

But he probably has some good real estate investments and is trying to become a citizen, i wouldnt doubt if marquez has a nice home on the beach.

Enjoy retirement JMM..... I do not think we will see him in a boxing ring again and if he does fight one more time, it will be a fair well fight against a gatekeeper.

I believe retirement is the best thing for him, it's well earned & deserved... JMM gave us many thrills &excitement... he was a great champion... I'll always remember that KO punch on Pac... he's someone 2 admire, not like that other Mexican Fraud...
