Yeah and Marquez is great and even then it was considered a joke fight.Comment

Golovkin could have fought Degale but instead picked on a welter.I know the Smith fight wasn't on the table and won't be for some time.
Golovkin had to fight a mandatory. Even if he moved up for a couple of fights, it wouldn't be permanent, he'd move down again.
I don't mind those fights fwiw. The DeGale fight in particular will be a good one.Comment

Jermall Charlo was getting it this week and he's 8 years younger, imagine a 34 year old fraud.Comment

If GGG were Black the criticism would come from the media, not just message boards.
I have yet to see ONE negative article about Golovkin.
If he were Black HBO would be hating on him like they did Hopkins and Floyd.Comment

Oh haha well it might be a little subtly racist. Mayweather and many others on his side in a weird way seem to be offended by Golovkin's presence at 160. They don't have any respect for him which I don't get at all. It's like saying Rigo is **** because he doesn't have an extensive professional career and that his amateur achievements are meaningless.
We've seen him fight though and know that isn't true. The same goes for Golovkin. The amount of hate for him is irrational. But I don't think it's purely racist, just that it mostly stems from the fighters around his division taking shots at him through the press. Even with taking shots, they never have any intentions of fighting him just discrediting.Comment
