It happens all the time going all the way back to the dawn of the sport...not that you'd know.
You must be a fool. Did Whitaker demand that any 154 pounder was not allowed to come in at 154??? Did Floyd swear up and down he would fight another 154 pound fighter and swear "We don't *** around"?! Did Jones do that??? You either defend the title or you drop it but you don't yell at your opponent to get in the ring now and say "We don't *** around" and then run like a B1tch! You are new to boxing, you'll get it eventually.

No one is blaming Canelo for that in and of itself. what is "unchartered Territory" that he is being blamed for is A) being the ONLY MAN in history wanting to defend his title by demanding that middleweights not be allowed to fight at 160! And B) for saying he would defend that title against GGG which an December article showed, C) standing in the ring and yelling at GGG and saying "We can fight now" and "We don't *** around". All he had to do was drop the middleweight tile to begin with, simple. No other fighter in history has done all those things which is unchartered territory and the reason the entire boxing world has lashed out against Canelo.

        What about what GGG said???

        "I'll fight anybody for 154 to 168"

        154 but not 155...dude is a straight-up bi.tch.

Canelo like everybody else DESERVES time to get used to a new weight...he'd be a fool to let some old B-side peasant dictate terms to him.

I've already said GGG is accountable for fighting Brook which was a BAD pick regardless if the fight even turns out great! And GGG is not without proper criticism! But only Canelo is the one who made history for what he did surrounding the middleweight title, not GGG. Huge difference!

No sht!!! Now how does that excuse Canelo for doing far worse - being the only man in history to demand middleweights not be allowed to fight at 160 for his title??????? That has nothing to do with GGG, that demand was for ANY middleweight!

Not excusing Canelo but exposing the hypocrisy in the statement, you pointed out that Canelo needs to be a man of his word while excusing g for the same thing you criticized...

You hold Canelo to what he said...but not Golovkin for the shi.t he says.

I'd be with you if Canelo was 34 y/o with a comedy skit for a resume.

I already criticized GGG for statement. I never said Canelo only needs to be a man of his word, I said everything he has done COMPOUNDS his image and his bold yelling on TV after his fight is more than just being a man of his word, he emphatically stated in the ring he would fight GGG. What compounds things is what Canelo did to make history surrounding his middleweight title. That was a first in the history of the division and THAT is why he gets levelled 10 times the criticism of GGG.
