My guess is 750K buys. This fight actually has some buzz and not just for Brits or Kazakhs, but for Europeans in general as well as Americans. I've heard several people talking about this fight, people that don't typically watch boxing either.

For boxing sake I rather that if does a decent sell.

But nobody was waiting for this fight, its meaningless and neither guy has a marquee win.

This is like the Canelo/Khan circus fight, just a money fight for both guys

Despite my initial misgivings - and I still say it's not a good fight - I'm actually getting more intrigued as the fight gets closer. Wudda loved to see it live but with tickets starting at £150 I'm gonna sit this one out.

It'll do over a million. It's on a Saturday afternoon and a lot of people have Saturdays off. That god awful Fury vs Klitschko did over a million. The only thing i can see possibly interfering with it is college football because Alabama/Ohio State/Notre Dame/Florida starts at 3:30. But they're all playing early season mismatches so the games shouldn't be close. It should be a blow out and people will probably turn the channel by the time boxing starts

Where's the 5 million coming from? Has it come out of Hearns' mouth? Boxing fans here are just as dumb over here compared to the UK probably even more so. Quit the site like your bum ass hero Messi quit the national team whilst you've still got some pride left

I'm right here in England, actually witnessing the hype. Where are you? If I had to guess, probably some shithole in Scandinavia with Golovkin's **** rammed straight down to your throat box.

Get on your knees and suck my dick hoe once you've finished guzzling Gennady's cum. You're a fucking joke.

Bumping the thread, found this interesting:

Froch-Groves 2 generated 900k PPV buys. Will be interesting to see how the event actually does.

                    wow

i guessed ~300k because i read that joshua-whyte did ~400k and this fight seems slightly less publicised than that

anecdotally, i have had a few conversations about this fight with people who don't usually follow boxing. people seem to at least be familiar with golovkin's reputation

nah, his two comeback fights were televised on a minor free channel and drew ~3m viewers IIRC

i reckon he's probably still the biggest draw in the UK, so he'll undoubtedly be back on PPV once he is in a real fight again
