im not sure really, havent got the figures for other UK ppvs's to compare it to. But the hype is crazy over here, on all the adverts, is a fight thats got people talking. Arena sold out in 10 minutes, 'but he needs to fight lara doe' lol.

I have a whatsapp group with pals from high school. We talk about politics, sports, whatever. Suddenly I see some of them started to talk about Golovkin vs Brook.. WTF. The casuals* are being hyped for this fight. Heck, I think they aren't even casuals. They started to talk about GGG's career, etc, this fight can mean something huge for GGG's popularity.

*I am a casuall too of course, but those guys don't follow boxing like I do.

Golovkins market is the US, i think it's actually hurting his popularity over there. He'll never be ppv without a UK fighter in the UK, before you start getting all delusional about that.

yeah sports fans are excited about it, and people on this forum absolutely hate that.

In the US the fight will be on regular HBO and the ratings will be over 1 million.
