  • Comments Thread For: Martin Murray: Golovkin Stops Brook in Five, Six Rounds Tops

Martin Murray would love to back his countryman Kell Brook in next Saturday's fight, but he fears the IBF welterweight champion will be overpowered and chopped down to size within six rounds by IBO, WBC, WBA and IBF world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

He might carry Brook, if GGG is smart he would carry brook.

If he was smart he lets Brook get a flash knockdown. Guaranteed Canelo signs next week!

yet another fighter saying how GGG is a level above anyone else theyve been in a ring with, yet people on this forum still say GGG is a hypejob.

Dude they didn't get off Lomancheko's @ss until he beat Gary Russell ******. Some of those people turned into Salido fans after Russell lost. You aren't american or latin american you've gotta go the extra mile around here to be something of note.

I totally agree with Murray, GGG will finish Brook in 6, after a hard fought 1,2,3 rds but after 3rd rnd it's all downhill from there...GGG is the middle wgt king. Canelo, jacobs, saunders & eubanks are allcowards if this was the 80's they would've challenged GGG.

yeah had someone earlier saying that lomachenkos failed as a pro cause salido 'schooled' him. Sad thing is i think nothing in there lives would make them happier than seeing golovkin lose.

I think what's bothering people (and they all express it in different ways) is the fact that we know Golovkin is good, but we really want him to prove that, he hasn't had one fight that's taken him to the limit, and we don't know 100% if that's based on his skill set and power, or if it's based off the opponents he has faced.

I don't rate some of his opponents as low as others, and I do believe Murray was a solid W for Golovkin as well as others, but he's been in the game at 160 for 10 years now, I would like him to try and cement his legacy more at this stage of his career.

Right now, we can talk about his KO's and all of that, but in 50 years when we look at the names, it won't mean a whole lot.
