    Err .. I think it's because they are both world WW champions who moved up to fight for world titles at MW.

    Leonard had never fought at 160 till he beat Hagler, and he did it in his first fight back after 3 years retirement.

      Sugar Ray is on that powder again. If Brook carries a bat into the ring against GGG, he has a shot but otherwise, he is catching a brutal beatdown.

          Brook fought many times above 147 early in his career. The heaviest Kell weighed in at was 155 and one of his opponents came in at 161, which is SMW!

            True Brook is not Leonard but GGG isn't Hagler either!!!

            Give the welter champ some respect for the challenge, GGG didn't want him but the other Brit didn't have the balls and this guy does. Much respect to Brook
            I hope he realizes the fight for him is about speeed and keeping GGG of balanced not weighing more than GGG!

            As for size;
            Hagler 5'9" 159
            Leonard 5' 10" 155

            What the hell is the difference? Way to much is made of size on this forum it's like the place is full of "lil" d*^%'s"!!!!!

                You STOP. SRL is a human being, not a superhero, and naturally smaller than Brook.

                Did you read what had to say in that interview ... that he was a natural WW and had to work hard to gain weight and stay around 155 in order to fight above WW?

                Kell has to work like a trojan to make 147 and looked fighting fit at 176 for his 30 day weight check for GGG. I'm actually a little worried he might have to drain himself to make 160 if he gets over-confident and leaves it too late before starting to cut.

                  But then fans actually approve of Golovkin doing what Canelo did if Golovkin keeps doing what he is doing he will be 40 fighting guys with the first name Campbell's and last name Soup cause he acts like he don't know how to move up then come back down and get that belt from BJS or whoever takes it from him if he doesn't fight Golovkin in December I think Golovkin will get the biggest shot just like Guerrero did Saturday Night he has not one signature name on his resume and people criticize Brook but what is what someone with confidence does true fans of boxing knows this fight will be good and Brook will be on his A Game he ain't Rosado and he won't easily lay down either

                    I think Larry was talking about skills and achievements. Brook wouldn't be anywhere close to Leonard even if he fought for the next 20 years.

                    Brook beat ONE good fighter in a close fight (Porter).

                      Yeah you're right, my mistake. But still think it's crazy that he's jumping two weight classes to fight a Goliath like GGG without adjusting to 160 first.
