The venue was already booked for GGG vs Eubank Jnr, so it wasn't going to be in Sheffield. Not much chance of getting a London stadium during the football season, but when the 02 sold out 10 mins after tickets went on sale, Hearn probably wished he had a bigger venue.

Double 8 is usually reasonsbly priced after a sell out event. Just checked now and the tickets are grossly over priced which suggests they were expensive to begin with. Not the price I would pay for a mismatch.
