Seriously though.... Why won't GGG fight Lara?

It's getting to the point where people are scratching their heads. Lara is a division higher than Brook and been actively pursuing GGG for years. Lara arguably beat Canelo on PPV and would be seen as a legit test/win.

Surely Lara is bigger than Wade/Monroe Jr/Adama?

If Lara really is an easy fight, why not let Gennady KO him in 6 rounds and show his superiority over Canelo?

Maybe, just maybe, they saw something in Lara's schooling of Canelo and GGG's fight with Ouma that they didn't like?

Because he's a moving target. GGG wants to stand and exchange power with guys that can't move. He's guaranteed to win that way even against Froch.

Lemieux was KTFO by Rubio and GGG still picked him. Lara had never been KTFO. You're a fun troll though keep up the good work.

GGG highest purse so far is $2 million. Lara wants $4 million.

Lemieux was a MW champ offering Ggg his first chance at a unification. And Lara wouldn't even take that generous purse, despite no belt for Ggg to take, no Mw creds, style that turns off ppv buyers, and an ugly choke job in his one ppv chance vs a lesser threat.

You know his manager admitted they never contacted Loeffler to try to make it happen? Then when Loeffler approached Haymon, it's "Lara commands a lot of money, fight wil not be easy to make"

Laras boring, not a big name, not a beltholder at 160 and adding him onto the CV doesnt do much. Hes got a couple of draws and losses.
In this instance brook was a logical choice.
If there is no attractive opponent who is available for the next fight, i'd rather watch him fight lara than someone like wade of course. But i really dont get the clamour for GGG v lara on this site, would imagine GGG would be a huge favourite with bookies, nowhere near the risky fight you people make out, and again its a pretty boring fight too.

I wouldn't call it 'high risk' but it is relatively low reward and it's possible Lara could puncture Golovkin's aura of invulnerability (though I personally doubt it) ... if Lara will accept a payday of around a $mil they should make it. Dunno how much HBO would be willing to shell out for it though.
