They didn't even contact K2 for starting negotiations.

Haymon has been having a hard time making his stars fight each other. Charlo is reported to have opted out of the Williams fight because he's not satisfied with the money Haymon was offering. Lara wants another cab driver for his next fight for $1 million.

Even though Lara claims he wants Golovkin, offering him $2 million won't make the fight happen. That's what his manager has been saying.

      Boxing is dying.

Many won't have heard of Kovalev and Ward has done nothing for 5 years to remind anybody outside of Oakland that he even exists.

No because the people that vote for multiple fighters might not have chosen Golovkin if they were voting for P4P #1 and only had 1 vote. Keep exposing how ****** you are moron.

Butthurt much that Golovkin ended up with more votes than the rest? you think it's a casualty? Not only he's first considering the differential, he also has the most up votes and the less down votes on the list.

I'm ok if you think that means that Golovkin is just another top10 p4p like the rest. You don't fool anyone, but you can believe what you want.

Like many people were saying at the time, the over-inflated purses Haymon was paying his fighters when they first signed with him will be bad for boxing, and Haymon himself, in the longer term.

Facts kid. Golovkin got votes he wouldn't have if it was a 1 vote poll for who is P4P #1 (it wasn't).

According to Sky, the poll was to determine the position of each figher:

Is Andre Ward the best pound-for-pound fighter around? Or is it Sergey Kovalev? And where do Britain's best fit into the current top 10?
You lost it, period. The poll was to determine who was the #1 ranked fighter, as stated by Sky.

Respect is what Golovkin has to gain from fighting Lara. Lara is a very credible guy who anyone that knows a lick about boxing knows of. Those people know the guy is a highly thought of operator in the ring a guy who has never been blown out in a fight.

Chances are Golovkin doesn't blow him out because if they thought so it would get done because it is a feather in Golovkin's cap in regard to Canelo and it is something someone has never done yet in boxing which is generally always very positive. Even at a greater cost more is still gained because Lara is a known commodity, that has been on TV for most of his fights.

I have never cared if the fight happens or doesn't really because Lara has exactly been lighting the world on fire recently, but Golovkin is the biggest fight out there for him so of course he wants to be paid well considering he is an aging vet as well~
