Nobody is taking it as a insult at least I'm not, but Common Sense, I don't think it is a fighter in boxing who is thinking "YOU KNOW WHAT IS WILL SACRIFICE WINING TO BE EXCITING"

Boxing is Entertainment, boxing is not VITAL so i don't "NEED" Ward, Kovalev or any fighter to do anything for me but to just agree to fight and show up to fight and however it plays out so be it

theres plenty of examples of fighters slugging it out when they didnt need to, thurman can box more than he showed against porter, framptons a boxer yet he decided to brawl with santa cruz, dont think juan manuel marquez didnt need to trade as much as he did in some of his fights with his skills. bradley deciding to trade it out with provodnikov. theres many other examples. SOme fighters want to entertain and be crowd favourites, some dont.

The Difference...Santa Cruz forced Frampton to fight him, Porter Forced Thurman, Ruslan forced Bradley to fight him. Look I get it, you're nervous about this fight so you're looking for confidence right now and that is fine but at least make sense with your trolling BS

maybe case with the first two, not having it that bradley can outbox JMM but not ruslan, he even said himself he wanted to slug it out for the fans. They were just the first examples i could think of, would be plenty more.

Porter forced Thurman into that type of fight, Thurman did not come into that fight looking to brawl. I guess he was laying on the ropes while bending over in pain to entertain the fans.

Marquez has never been hard to hit, he's at his best when he is punching inbetween his opponents punches.

No one with a high level of skills goes into a fight looking to brawl. If a brawl happens it's usually when game plans are abandoned such as Bradley vs Provodkinov.

Please don't use the Bradley vs Provodkinov fight, where a far better fighter got ****** into a war and took a lot of punishment, as a reason why Ward should come to "entertain" the fans. Bradley got a concussion from that fight.

no im not saying he has to follow his example, i was just using that as a fight in which someone decided to go to war when they didnt need to, cba to fish out the quotes but he even said it himself that he did. Its crazy that you people think that pretty much all fighters have no interest whatsoever in becoming crowd favourites e.g by looking for knockouts, fighting more aggressively when they dont need to.

... and as i keep saying im not expecting ward to stick his chin out in the air and let kovalev hit him, just want him to lead with a few combos and not actively ruin the fight

Bradley fought like a moron because of the death threats and all manner of abuse he got from the robbery in the first Pac fight. It messed with his head and made him feel like he had something to prove.

Floyd said after the first Maidana fight that he wanted to give the fans what they wanted. Please tell me you didn't buy that. Maidana forced him into that type of close range fight. Fighters will usually say stuff to make it seem like they are giving the fans what they want but really they got forced into it.
