ok, thanks for admitting you're pulling for kov

but be realistic.....all those guys he fought would have lost regardless of the referee. He beat all his opponents clearly. no dispute.

His closest fight was with Froch and even he admitted openly that ward beat him so keep that lame ref excuse in a closet

i genuinely dont know if he would have beat everyone if his clinch game was taken away, saying that he might have had to adapt and probably still would have won. However, I see the kessler fight as a no contest and i dont count it as a ward win due to his 'tactics'

just seems like you are making excuses and not putting any of the responsibility on the opponent.....they lost....simple as that....they didnt adapt....at the end of the day you are in their fighting. I've seen some foul-infested fights and waiting on the ref or depending on them as a fighter can get you out of rhythm....its up to the fighters to defend themselves and afapt.

if you are a veteran pro and dont know how to work out of a clinch, avoid one, or get into a position wear the ref breaks you, then you need to go back to the gym and learn boxing basics. they teach you that in the amatuers

Maybe Duva in her own way was trying to pump up the Kovalev fans, make it seem like Ward was apprehensive about the fight...whatever the case may be im sure happy it will be happening.

whatever makes you sleep at night. remember those biases i talk about? yeah...

she was just being unprofessional and reactionary and airing her [legit] concerns in an inappropriate place [an interview with steve kim and later with radio raheem.]

there were guys who saw duva show up to the presser, talk about how rocnation sent no representation and told them to hold off on announcing ticket sales, and blamed DUVA for it. we call those guys "children," and regard them accordingly. the sky is blue, yet they call it red because they identify with andre ward and resent sergey kovalev.

they always move the goal posts....bwhaahahahahahaha....they are having doubts

there is a difference between wanting a fighter to win and truly believing they will. they hope ward loses more than they think Kov will win. What kind of fans are those?

Than it was Ward will get respect if he signs the fight and it's not in Oakland. Check. Still no respect. Now it's Ward will get respect as long as the fight isn't boring. Lets just face the facts, Ward detractors are not going to give him credit no matter what. They'll just keep pushing the goal posts back farther and farther.
great post, its hard but fair sad but true

so all of ward's past cheating and hometown advantages are erased because he signed to fight his first live body in 5 years?
