Is that they have the utmost respect for Sergey Kovalev. Many have Kovalev ranked in the top 3 pound for pound, consider him to be an honorable champion and are really looking forward to seeing Ward test his skills against this monster.
It's very rare, going into these major fights where you see a fan base have so much respect for the opponent and aren't making numerous threads bashing the opponent.
Major props to Andre Ward fans for setting an example and I can't wait for this November 19th showdown.

I don't see that tactic. Pac fans destroyed Floyd and vice versa. Margarito fans killed Cotto and vice versa. GGG fans kill Canelo and vice versa.

Floyd fans did hype up his opponents, just like Pacman fans and Canelo fans.
But the truth is, there's no need to inflate either Ward's or Kova's accomplishments and standing because both are in fact 2 of the best, undefeated fighters in the world.
GGG is a fine fighter. but he's a middleweight. Ward and Kovalev are both light heavyweights. There's no way, none, nada, zip, zero how Kovalev is only "as good as", GGG.

I'm saying P4P Kovalev and GGG are about equal. Perhaps GGG is a bit better.
