It's very rare, going into these major fights where you see a fan base have so much respect for the opponent and aren't making numerous threads bashing the opponent.

Major props to Andre Ward fans for setting an example and I can't wait for this November 19th showdown.

Most ward fans I know have followed boxing a while

They have confidence he will win, they just don't HOPE he wins

    There is a difference

Many people hope he loses but aew unsure if kov can pull it off, save a 1 punch ko....at this level is not likely

As the fight approaches, the real kov fans will be riding with him, just like the real ward fans

Their is a group who really don't give a damn about kov, they just want to be rid of ward who is a threat to anyone 160-175 where fighters they like reside.

If ward wins, expect those idiots to disappear until the next super fight is on the horizon

Big props to killa K and SOG for making this happen

They talk about the huge difference in skill and how Ward will make Kovalev look like an amateur. They say the fight will be a 120 to 108 shutout in Ward's favor or a Ward KO win. They aren't the least bit respectful to Kovalev. In fact they are contemptuous of Kovalev. They are as disrespectful and insulting to Kovalev as they could possibly be. Two examples of this behavior are posters named BoxingXpert and Tyrone Biggums. I probably have Biggums name wrong and I apologize for that but you know the guy I am talking about. There are others but these two are the worst Ward loving Kovalev hating posters I can think of. They are very racist posters
Tyrone Biggums is a white British kid pretending to be black to get a rise out of people.

You shouldn't judge Ward fans by guys like Sugar Hook Kaine and CaneloMaidana just like you shouldn't judge GGG fans by Jubei and bigdramashow.

He also beat Jean Pascal and Gabriel Campillo in dominant fashion.

In all honesty he belongs above GGG in the p4p lists but is below him in most of them. That to me screams underrated not overrated.

Pascal was shot at the time the first fight occurred, but still managed to give Kovalev problems.

Campillo was a decent win I agree, Kovalev's second best IMO.

Golovkin dispatches his opponents relatively easy, the last guy who gave him fits was Adama.

P4P lists are subjective, so you shouldn't pay too much attention to them. But I have Kovalev higher than Golovkin on mine.

Ward? Too inactive, but if he beats Kovalev he will be above GGG, that much is obvious. And rightfully so.

Had Golovkin beat the middleweight equivalent of Campillo, he would get no credit to be honest. Campillo is a quality boxer but has little power and a shaky chin.... those are weaknesses that you can't have against Golovkin.

Pascal was a good win but he's a very flawed fighter and hadn't done anything eye opening since beating Dawson. He was a top 3 LHW but I feel if Golovkin beat someone like him people like you would be quick to dissect him and his glaring flaws.

Kovalev should be higher than Golovkin on the p4p list but that doesn't mean his resume is far better, it isn't.

Because it's obvious he's a top 3 P4P fighter? They aren't doing anything special. They just aren't being idiots.

That's why you see these so called Ward fans usually talking about GGG most of the time, they are more GGG haters than actual fans of Ward.

I disagree that Pascal was shot at the time. Up to that point his only losses were to Hopkins and to Carl Froch way back when.

He might be borderline shot now but a lot of that has to do with the two severe beatings Kovalev has given him.

That's just it, there aren't enough quality boxers like Campillo or even Cleverly and Chilemba on Golovkin's resume. They might have their weaknesses but even then they are still a notch more proven than most of the guys GGG has fought.
