I don't know if I still buy it. After the talks about fighting McGregor, the trademarks, all the money that could be made in various fights,etc., it wouldn't make sense... However, he starting to say it enough that I am starting to think he may not come back..

Mayweather is smart enough from a boxing point of view not to risk it anymore. It's been away for nearly a year now and almost 40. I think he was going to fight again, it would have been before the end of the year and it doesn't seem likely.

I imagine he was possibly planning to fight this year, which is why Danny Garcia's team told Hearn they were waiting on Floyd when they enquired about Brook v Garcia. Maybe the longer Floyd has been away, the more he's realised he doesn't really miss training and fighting and has called it a day. Maybe he has trained recently and is feeling 40 because of his time out of the ring, who knows.

Of course he would come back for $100m but who is he doing to fight now that is going to make him that money? - Let's be realistic, McGregor is probably the guy to fight for that, as ****** as it seems from a boxing perspective.

I've been saying I think Floyd is done since Berto & I still believe it as much you can ever believe a boxer saying he won't fight again.

For as exceptional a fighter Floyd was I think he is a realistic guy with the fighting business & who saw what too many fights did to many great fighters including his own uncle & won't make that mistake himself.
