    January 10, 2014:

MANILA, Philippines – If Freddie Roach would have his way, he’ll pick Robert Guerrero as Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent for the Filipino’s April 12 fight in Las Vegas.

Although it has been reported that Pacquiao is eyeing a rematch with Timothy Bradley for his ring return, Roach believes knocking out Guerrero – a previous victim of Floyd Mayweather Jr. – will put them in a better position for a showdown with the pound-for-pound king.

“There's a couple of other guys out there right now that I'm thinking about that are free agents. You look at Mayweather's last like four fights and so forth, if we can fight one of those guys that he went the distance with and knock that person out and be impressive, it puts us even closer to Mayweather because that's the fight we really want eventually,” Roach said in an interview with boxing website secondsout.com.

Guerrero (31-2-1, with 18 knockouts), who has won titles at feather, super featherweight, lightweight and welterweight, tried but failed to deal Mayweather his first career loss in May last year. He used to spar with Pacquiao, and Roach thinks a fight between them could be a barnburner.

[Robert] Guerrero has sparred with Manny many times and he thinks he gets the best of Manny. He's made that public before that he used to beat Manny up in sparring. I see it a different way, but I would love that fight and I think it's a great fight,” the bespectacled trainer explained.

He was better off when Ruben wasn't his trainer. Robert had talent at featherweight, when he used to train with John Bray, Goosen and at Wild card and Goosens in so cal.

I dont know why he decided to let his pops train him, I think he just wanted to help his pops earn a check he said something like he already had all the knowledge with those other trainers so he didnt need them anymore.

He screwed up when he went with his father, his father doesn't have a single gameplan, he is just a pachuco with a loud mouth, his entire plan is to talk trash to rattle the opponent hoping they dont focus on fight night, same thing Roach does now.

God you are ****** lol. Do you not realize they fought 3 years ago. That's like saying chop chop was a bad win for Floyd since he has 25 losses now. Go back to being a cuck For muzzys silly swed

And no ghost isn't a top 15 win for Floyd. That alone shows how strong his resume is

You know, only on NSB would these Golovohomos even entertain the thought of bringing up Mayweather's CV with a straight face.

                Holy shit.

                You dudes are clowns.

                  Pacquiao -
Pacquiao, when he started to slow down for the first time in his career and at an older age this fight could have been made earlier If it wasn't for Floyd Mayweather being scared of taking the risk of fighting a game opponent in great form.
To add on top of this win Pacquiao clearly was fighting with an injury which has been proven by doctors and the proof Pacman gave that he wasn't a liar unlike Floyd which brings us to the fact that Floyd Mayweather was caught using a masking technique in the confines of his own mansion so I'm sorry to hurt people's feeling but Floyd Mayweather was hiding performance enhancing drugs there is just absolutely no reason to take 750ml worth of an IV to 'rehydrate'.

                  Oscar Dela Hoya -
Once again sort of similar to the Pacquiao situation a guy who once was in great form say maybe 4 years prior to the fight actually happening with Floyd Mayweather but this time when Floyd fought him Oscar was jumping down a whole weight division and he had losses not long ago to Shane Mosley, Felix Sturm (this was a robbery that Oscar got the win against him) and he was absolutely obliterated by Bernard Hopkins.
Floyd still fought a weight drained past his best version of Oscar (Just like Pacquiao did as well) and he barely won.

                  Miguel Cotto -
Eventually, Floyd decides to fight Cotto when he could have easily done it many years ago Cotto wasn't going to turn down a huge payday plus the fact he fought the most feared man in the 147lbs division something Floyd had no intention of doing so this adds to the fact Cotto was willing to fight Floyd.
So Floyd fights this guy after he loses twice already by guys who made him quit he is now a beaten broken down man who is now an absolutely different fighter to the beast Pacquiao and Margarito fought top that with the fact he has the most unimpressive run of wins to earn the Floyd fight those guys being Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito who was somehow cleared medically to fight Cotto when he absolutely shouldn't have been because his eye was destroyed by Pacquiao.
Another point to note he fights now at 154lbs a weight class he hasn't looked that impressive at having being schooled by Trout.

Then I can go into the fact about the gloves issue with Maidana the fact he ducked Khan and ignored his official poll of who his fans wanted him to fight lol the list goes on and on each and every fight he has is dictated and manipulated in a manner Floyd will go down as one of the biggest manipulators of the sport he is basically a worse version of Rocky Marciano at least Marciano gave the fans a show and could actually put people out to sleep.
                  pti.....

it was PAC who delayed the ''mega'' fight. non fans are always blaming may for that. did you read pacs excuseS for not giving into RANDOM blood tests ?!?!? superstitious ?!?!?! loss of blood makes him weak ?!?!?!? his mommy told him not to ?!?!?!? , btw, they both age at the same rate. its not as if pac gets older/''slower'' while may remains prime (btw, may is older).

pac fans loved it when he beat up te skeleton version of dlh. that win put pac on the superstar stage.

at what point do you think cotto ever had a chance at beating may ?!?!? dont throw names out without consider the skill set of those involved. im a big cotto fan and theres just no way i see a version of may that cotto can beat. then again, cheato fans swear may ''ducked'' him as well.

                  on and on....

So Guerrero was literally beaten by a cab driver.

                    What a low point.

This doesn't do much for Garcia, Thurman and Mayweather legacies.
