If Ward is so good why does he have to mess around with the contract to "mess with Kovalev's head"? Save the mind games for the press conferences, interviews, and the ring. Don't mess with the fight itself, the contract.

The contract it supposed to be sacred. You don't mess with that. If you need to screw around with the contract or that the fight will even happen in order to get in your opponents head, then you're desperate and not very good.

Kov is already too 3 P4P on most people's lists. You can nitpick his Ward's inactivity over the past few years, but he is still an undefeated boxer who cleared out a competitve 168 division, beat Chad Dawson, and at one point was considered #2 P4P. Whoever wins is the dude in my humble opinion.

Pascal is a former champion who won it beating an undefeated (Diaconu) champion. I'm not sure Ward would last with JP that well.

Regardless - all the trash talk on here is interesting, but no-one truly knows what will unfold on Nov 19.

My own opinion is that Kovalev will handle Ward quite easily, but I'll be on here if I'm wrong. It is an extremely interesting fight - for style matchup, unbeatens, game plans, 50/50 and so on.

With Beterbiev, Shabransky and Stevenson - it's a great division. I'd add Umar Salamov to those three plus Kov and Ward and make a super six, if I was Lord of ordering boxing around that is.
