That's right....Jacobs is leaving the door open for a duck....just tell us how much you want....he's running

Jacobs is a coward, plain and simple.

... all these anti-GGG trolls should ask their "favorite" fighters to sign with Hearn!
... Hearn would promote them all against GGG...

Golovkin/Jacobs is sellable, but it's not as big in the US as Brook/Golovkin is in the UK. Plus, Danny is a clear B-side, Golovkin's not taking a backseat paywise to Jacobs, not even close to parity. He's the champ and has drawing power. Jacob's has no drawing power, his fight with Quillin was a major flop. Where was the hustle for that fight? Danny has no hustle in marketing himself. He just sat out 9 months for no reason and now is fighting a guy nobody wanted him to fight, in a small arena in Pennsylvania, on a Friday night on SpikeTV.

The math is simple. On Monday, September 12th, after Golovkin and Jacobs both had their fights, the WBA will mandate the fight. Per WBA rules, Jacobs is only entitled to a 25% purse split if he doesn't agree to terms. For Jacobs to receive more than $1.5mill, Haymon would need to bid over $6mill for that fight, lol! He only bid $5.1 for Wilder/Povetkin, and Wilder is his most beloved fighter, plus Wilder was get 75% of the split.

... meanwhile, in the UK, the fans are still voting GGG as the #1 P4P fighter...

So much going on in this article, I don't even know where to start.

One side of me wants to say, this is the new Floyd Mayweather business school of boxing kicking in and going full steam ahead.

Then another side wants to say what I've always said, which is "Only GGG is allowed to make bidness decisions around here; no one else".

But then my objective side wants to say "Damn Jacobs, just fight the fcuking man already and whoop his ass for whatever $$$ amount they give you".

I also want to say that when Jacobs said "if you're my fan, you'll support me an boxing regardless". This is wrong on so many levels and this is the type of thinking that has plagued the African American community in different facets of life. This is the wrong thread to dig into that subject. But no Danny. There comes a time when you can't support someone just to support them because you like them as a fighter.

And save me with the "You weren't a fan anyway" logic because that's faulty logic.

If Haymon wins the bid then GGG would vacate because of his contract with HBO. I agree with you on the way PBC has marketed Jacobs. They are pushing hard on social media, which is probably saving them some money, but I'm not sure how effective it is. I don't work for PBC and have access to their spread sheets. They have to find a way to get Jacobs on HBO. GGG is becoming one of the faces of boxing and Jacobs story is remarkable, with the whole battle with cancer angle. I think with a lot of hard work and hustle both sides can find a way to make an offer that everyone involved can be happy with.
