Jacobs is a nice guy and yes, we all want to make the big bucks, but what happened to the challenge of being the best. I really can't think of any other sport where, when the best offers you the opportunity to challenge to prove who is top dog, you don't jump at that irrespective of the cash. Of course no one fights for nothing, and of course you should get paid, in line with your woorth but FFS, hiding behind excessive purse demands to avoid fights. That's what this is. He obviously doesn't understand that: 1. He WILL get beaten; 2. Everyone gets beaten by GGG; 3. It is not the end of his career.
To be fair, the blame lays at the feet of the WBA. This etossers with their multiple belts have brought about this situation. Jacobs only thinks he is worth something because of the paper belt of his. So what happened to the WBA plan to get rid of this joke belt.
