Now that's be a bad look. Winning the purse bid for 8m+ then Danny withdrawing for whatever reason. Doubt it goes down like that, and I very much doubt Ggg drops the belt if it goes to purse bidsComment

Why is this a "super mega fight"? Why does Danny need huge money to fight GGG but not Quillin?
Jacobs has already been knocked out. He barely fights. He's had one decent win at middleweight, even though unlike GGG, the top guys actually want to fight him. He has little fanbase outside of Brooklyn. So who exactly told him that this was a "super mega fight?" Who told him that he was Floyd Mayweather and GGG was Manny Pacquiao?
This is the same **** Adonis Stevenson pulled with Kovalev. Newsflash: knocking out old Chad Dawson and then never fighting anyone good your whole career does not make you a superstar. And if you're not a superstar, and the guy you're fighting is not a superstar, then your fight is not a "super mega fight." Jacobs would already get a career high payday to fight GGG. If he's actually confident in winning, shouldn't that be enough?
Demanding money for a fight that just doesn't exist is a great way to duck the fight and ensure it doesn't happen.Comment

Danny Jacobs will be offered CAREER HIGH MONEY to fight GGG this fall. If Danny Jacobs turns down CAREER HIGH MONEY this fall, that is a duck, plain and simple.
Remember when Cotto didn't want to fight GGG, his excuse was that he could make more money fighting other people? And we accepted that as a fair reason?
Well now, Danny Jacobs can make the most money, by far, fighting GGG. So if he for any reason does not fight GGG next, that is a duck.
First they said GGG wasn't the biggest money fight for them. Now they're saying it's the biggest money fight, but GGG so scary, it has to be even bigger than the biggest money fight! It's gotten ridiculous. Just take the fight. If you earn a rematch in the ring with a great fight, the rematch will be bigger. That's how the sport is supposed to work. Stop trying to make a career's worth of money with just one fight. Even Pacquiao and Floyd had to beat a slew of bigger names first before they became the biggest names. If Jacobs beats GGG, then the Canelo fight will be the super fight for him down the road. Instead he just keeps ducking!
Stop ducking career high paydays! It's ridiculous!Last edited by Boxing Logic; 08-27-2016, 03:46 AM.Comment

Jacobs right there admitted why the Haymon welfare model is ******....dude just said he could fight 2 Quillins for the same money than a Golovkin. The PBC killed itself by paying way over market value...the generation thats out there are spoiled but hopefully the next will have realistic views of what they're worth in the real market, since we're starting to see purses dropping accordingly.
How many Quillin's is that lol? But these Haymon fighters have no vision, no belief in themselves. They're so scared they expect themselves to lose their first big fight, so they demand that one fight's payday has to be enough for their whole careers. They don't actually go into fights with a fighter's mentality of "this payday is fine, it's fair, but it doesn't have to be anything crazy because I'm going to win and get even more next time. Or even if I lose, I will get the rematch, or I will go get other big fights, because I know my talent, and I will always come back."
Instead they apparently expect to lose every big fight, so that's all they care about. "This is my last fight, I'm going to lose, so I demand a huge payday to make it worth it." What kind of mentality is that?Comment

Either way, he contradicts himself, and finds a way to avoid fighting GGG, which is a duck. You can talk all you want about how Showtime might pay more for the fight, but if GGG can't fight on Showtime, then I guess they can't lol, can they? I guess there's no money at all if the fight is on Showtime, seeing as GGG can't fight on Showtime, and GGG needs to be part of the fight, lol.
So in reality, with GGG tied to HBO, that means the fight will make the most money on HBO, since the fight will only fricken exist on HBO. And since the fight, on HBO, would already be Jacobs career high payday, at least double his career high, and since he claims to care about money, then if he doesn't fight GGG next, on HBO, he is ducking GGG. Simple. Just use logic like I did, a simple deduction, and you can figure that out.Comment
