You don't speak for all Kovalev fans though. Some clearly would rather have Ward duck so that they can continue to complain about him fighting bums all the time. Why do you think there are 0 threads on the actual fight and 400 threads about the venue, Ward's "tactics", Ward's recent opposition and Ward's inactivity?

For the people that don't like Ward, the easiest route to a victory for them is Ward pulling out of this fight. A bunch of people were predicting his retirement at one stage and some were actively hoping for it.

You are very naive if you think there aren't people that want this fight to fall through because of Ward.

i don't know, i guess it will happen.
Yeah never mind the HBO contract right in which if I'm not mistaken wasn't people saying that the Kovalev fight was part of Ward's 3-4 Fight Contract with HBO?

Ward has had his Tuneups and he is ready to go what more do you want, do you need Ward to trash talk? Is that what it is? Not sure what people want to be down now when the fight is not until November 19th

Its every fighter's dream to have a big fight in Vegas, but not Ward. It just shows Ward is trying to do his best to make sure this fight never takes place.

ok, we have no reason to doubt ward? didn't las vegas refuse to officialize one of his tune ups? didn't HBO turned down the smith fight? again, i know there are trolls, but ward gave people stuff to think he isn't that trustworthy.

anyways, i wasn't talking about him in the OP. i was talking about his fans in this site.

I want this fight to happen, but I honestly think it will at least be delayed somehow until next year. Ward has fought just one legitimate LHW in his 3 comeback fights, after a year and 7 months away from the ring. He has looked good, but not spectacular. I don't think he's ready for Kovalev. He says if he's not ready now, he will never be. Prophetic words.

There have been quite a number of Kovalev fans (Ward haters, really) who immediately went about downplaying the fight the second it became official. The same people who spent the past year-plus saying Ward would never fight Kovalev. The same people whose joy was clearly visible when Ward wasn't at Duva's thing a couple days after the Brand fight. The same people who still won't shut up about why Ward is boring and should just retire. Some of them still insist Ward won't fight him.

So yeah, clearly those people don't want the fight, because they were much happier when the fight wasn't official and were depressed when the fighters agreed to it.

I want to see it, I mean when was the last time two fighters at this level got it on? Ward is a kind of quirky though so that may cast doubt in some minds. I dont think he will back out at this point though regardless.

Well we shall see how it plays out. I don't see one example you gave in which it shows that Ward isn't "Trustworthy" but if you see it that way then so be it! WE SHALL SEE! Certainly not my job to convince you of anything, we agree to disagree!
