Im not a big fan of Ward but Im not going to read anything into this just yet. If its October and we still havent heard from Ward, then I might start to wonder. The guy has, to my knowledge, only pulled out of one fight due to injury against a guy he handled for 12 rounds later on. This is a fight that I personally am really looking forward to.

That being said, it would be nice to get some form of "official" announcement on the fight, particularly venue. Ward is a great world class fighter, but he doesnt seem to sell too well, even in his hometown. Kovalev also, being Russian, isnt exactly a household name in the US. This fight has huge potential but needs to marketed properly. I dont want to see Crawford-Postol type numbers for a fight of this magnitude.

But Im not going to sit here and say "Oh Andre is running scared", or "Andre is going to fake an injury".

I saw him. Ward, Kovalev and Golovkin are at a Black Lives Matters rally in Blacksburg ******ia telling fans why Pacquiao's fans have jumped on the Golovkin bandwagon. Kovalev explains his reasons, Golovkin calls them clowns, and Ward is screaming White Lives Matter too!
