Golovkin vs Brook is like a Pitt Bull vs a Poodle. We all know how this is going to end.

I feel like this whole fight will look like the last few rounds of the Stevens fight.

I seen the previous post, about Kell being better than Mayweather. He will need a Mayweather vs Canelo performance to win this bout.

So I'm as confused as the next.
It shouldn't be confusing. His opponents are not bums - that is just the haters. Other MWs no they are not bums and someone like Jacobs and BJS know they're in for a tough fight if they're in with Lemieux or Murray (as he was) so they figure "look how he took out Lemieux - made it look easy work" and they figure they probably couldn't do the same against Lemieux - so why risk fighting Golovkin for relatively little money and a good chance of defeat.
The problem is K2 don't have tons of money and the other MWs don't have balls. Brook would not fight GGG for $1M - so him getting $4M from Sky and Hearn is what has made this fight possible. Supposedly same contract as offered to Eubank. But not enough. What does that say?

but I'm not like a hateful Brook fan who said Khan is chasing a pay day and not daring to be great.

            2x good points

some folks should think long and hard about this post

there are plenty of better/easier ways for Kell Brook to make his mark on this sport, nobody can deny that..... he did not need to fight Golovkin, especially after Khan got KTFO by Canelo

I see that fight as being closer to a cash-out than reaching for greatness, but Brook still has to get in the ring with Golovkin, and I am sure that he will give it his best shot.

On the other hand Brook is under-hyped - flying under the radar. He is a better boxer than any of Golovkins previous opponents. Albeit a LMW in reality. He also has oodles of self belief which is a prerequisite for defeating a "monster".
Whereas Khan looked like he had tiger Canelo by the tail and we all knew it was just a matter of time I'm thinking this fight will show a lot of kinks in Golovkin's armour and that'll be a good thing as we will see other fighters step up to fight him.

He is over-rated as fk, some clowns are even calling him an ATG.

I agree with you about the eye-test, but a lot of guys look great against sub-par competition.

I want to know why he came out with every excuse in the book to avoid 3x mover/spoilers who are notoriously difficult to look good against..... and I also need to know why he totally refused to negotiate on the weight with the 2 JMW superstars Cotto and Canelo.

Any other fighter would cut off one of their fingers for an opportunity like that, but Mr "anyone from 154-168" seemed almost disinterested.

Higher ring IQ than GGG's past opponents, I said.

But I'll go with Golovkin too. GGG simply sucks in the middle of the ring for some reason.
