I guess reading comprehension is not your best suit. What I said is if a guy can back up his performance with results, i.e. GGGs undefeated record, it's not hype it's fact.

He has fought NOBODY !

That, is..... a " fact " !

And yet, some clowns are saying that he is an ATG.

Some even worse clowns are comparing him to Hopkins/Hagler/Monzon.

That is the very definition of the term " overhype ".

But your REAL problem are the fights that Golovkin could have made, but did not..... you simply cannot tell me all that "anyone from 154-158" HYPE is true, when Golovkin demanded a catchweight for Ward and totally refused to negotiate on the weight with Canelo.

The media are still accrediting Golovkin for FOUR YEARS of promises, despite the fact that those promises have been repeatedly broken..... and his resume has nothing else to report..... so, to date, the Golovkin myth is largely hype.

Maybe, but who is your definition of "somebody" that is actually willing to fight him? He's fought that segment of the MW division that would get in the ring with him and the results are undeniable. If that's hype by your standard than you're entitled to your opinion and I respect that. IMHO it's not hype, pretty simple really.

Andre Ward was willing to fight him, no amount of spin will change that.

Golovkin should have negotiated on the weight with Canelo/Cotto, like he promised.

Also, Lara is also willing to fight him, at 160.

And those 4 guys would - coincidentally - be his best opponents, and his biggest paydays, by far..... so yea, go figure.

I know exactly why they passed on Ward/Lara/Canelo, but I will never understand why they were completely unwilling to negotiate with little old 153lb Cotto..... everyone else would cut off one of their fingers for a payday against a beatable faded superstar, but not Mr "anyone from 154-168", for some reason.

I could almost give Golovkin a pass for avoiding Ward/Lara/Canelo (if he hadn't talked all that shht), because they were unnecessary, risky, fights..... but Cotto was definitely winnable, and they may have got that fight at 157, like Geale did.

And no way is 1.5mil a reasonable offer for Jacobs/Saunders, is just isn't..... no matter what the current tard perspective may happen to be.

Also, experienced promoters/managers are very cunning with how they manipulate the media when building a fighters career..... experienced punters know not to believe everything they hear..... especially when it sounds highly unlikely given the evidence available.

I agree with you on the promoter/manager issue. They are slick and will manipulate the media and their fighters to insure a bigger payday. I'm not calling GGG great because no one will get in the ring with him. My point is that those who actually have faced him have pretty much been outclassed by him. Don't get me wrong. I want to see him challenged. I love the sport and want to see the best fight the best. I hope they make a fight for GGG with someone that will give him some resistance otherwise it will be another borefest. Thanks for your comments. Good dialogue.
